Genevieve (“Gen”) Merritt is a financial executive with senior level management expertise and over 14 years of commercial finance experience in all areas including underwriting, auditing, marketing and account, portfolio and financial management. Gen has direct experience with asset based lending, SBA and factoring accounts receivable, and has provided consultancy for factoring companies nationwide, including various factoring franchise locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, on all areas of owning and operating a factoring company.
As the Vice President of Portfolio and Risk Management at Allied Affiliated Funding, Gen is responsible for Allied’s overall client portfolio. Through Factor Guru, Gen specializes in providing small business owners and individuals looking to start a new business strategic growth analysis, business plans, and financial analysis, in addition to continuing to provide consultancy and educational information to the factoring and asset based lending communities.
Prior to joining Allied, she was a consultant with Factor Source, an officer with Liquid Capital Corp, and the Chief Credit Officer for Comresco Capital, along with holding various positions and responsibilities with Guaranty Business Credit and Southwest Bank. Gen maintains a B.A. in Business and Economics from the University of Texas at Dallas.
